I did also, four years ago. Would do it again.
The only thing is that now I have to be more careful and wear safety glasses/goggles for any kind of activity that could generate small fast-moving particles; the glasses used to help prevent debris in the eye.

My son did it a few years ago when the procedure was new. He said he is real happy he did it.

I have had it done twice, didn't heal up correctly so they had to "touch-up" the spots, Very happy with the results.
if they offer you a lifetime warranty buy it!

I've been thinking about having the procedure done. Getting tired of wearing contacts or glasses.
Are there any age limitations? I'm not that old but as you age does the procedure work as well?
Thanks
Jeff

I was thinking of that drug Dad took to lose water, thinking you were too young and the tractor show would not be fun for you !!
Does it need to be redone? will your vision deteriorate anyway(diabetes)?

Had it done about 9 years ago loved it, went back last month for enhancements. They say age won't stop, so you still change with time. But still the greatest thing I've done. 0948578 |

He a very good ophthalmologist, he did four family members, only one fee for operation and any needed adjustments afterwards, no follow-up charges. It is a little far from Ohio but maybe you could get some questions answered. http://www.ihatemyglasses.com/?gclid=CIvdiKfJ55wCFdVL5QodNBJ2Fw http://http://www.ihatemyglasses.com/?gclid=CIvdiKfJ55wCFdVL5QodNBJ2Fw

You can't justify it that way. It runs from $2000 to $2500 per eye.

Mine was around $4000 10 years ago....haven't regretted it one bit! The price did seem a bit much for 15 minutes of work, tho! Maybe with our new gov't health care they will run all the kids thru the chute and vacinate, dip and lasik all in one shot....

I am 23, my glasses don't last 3-4 years before they are scratched up and wore out. I think every pair so far was more than $200, every two years that's $2000 in 20 years.

Had it done ten years ago. Wish it would have been an option twenty years earlier. Am very satisfied.

do it young before you need bifocals anyway. I am used to glasses now so I just live with em. Glasses last almost 10 years for me now. I am so blind I can't even see the scratches on my lenses.
The good news is that technology for eyeglasses makes them wonderful compared to what I started with 40+ years ago.

Is it really true that they won't do it if you are over 55? I have always wanted it done. How is your closeup seeing. Do you need reading glasses? Thanks for the post...

I am 50 and have worn glasses as long as I remember. I am going to get my eyes fixed as soon as the fall workload slows down. I also have contacts and when I wear them I have to carry reading glasses. My ophthalmologist told me that is what is in store for me after lasik, I'll no longer be able to read without glasses. I have done all the pre-screening tests and I am a good candidate for the surgery. Total cost around $4000. Ask me at Christmas time.

Had it done about 9 years ago. I was legally blind in my left eye, had 20/400 in my right eye. Ended up 20/30 and 20/20, after 9 years just a little worse. Cost about $4000, would do again in a heartbeat!
