Someone refresh my memory. Do the gas engine hold 7 quarts including the filter? I know the D17 does. Thanks.

Owners manual says 6 quarts. I'm thinking that would be 6 U.S. Qts or approx 6 litres. Oil filter is high and upside down so makes no difference.

Both my WD-45 and D-17 manuals specify oil sump capacity as 6 Qts.
Neither makes any reference as to whether that is with or without filter.

If I only put in 6 quarts in our WD45, it will be a tad low. I use 6.5, but the "correct" level is 6 quarts.
