I often wondered if AC ever played around with the idea of a snowmobile. Go to this site and check out list of sleds around page 6 or so.

Is this

the page 6 you are talking about?  I'm not seeing any reference to AC.  Please elaborate on what you found and where, I've wondered about AC and snowmobiles too....

Now that brings back some memories.
Eight kids on a big dairy in central NY, with grandfather on our mom's side selling Polaris, and our uncle (dad's brother) being the A-C dealer in Rome, NY. Mini bikes and Terra Tigers to ride when we visited the uncle's place for parts (and he would let us run around the place on G's too), plus visiting grandad's for oil/belts and plugs in the late fall so we could see the new sleds on the showroom floor.
New snowmobile suits/jackets/bibs and helmets under the tree each Christmas.

It was like Christmas Don and i think my uncle would let us raise hell on the TTs and mini bikes just to keep us from crawling over all the tractors on the lot. Him and dad would go look at the 20,000 laying hen operation my uncle had behind the dealership and my dad would always tell us on the way home how "your uncle Bob wants to bring me a 190XT to demo". Think it chapped my uncle when we went to Urgo's Equipment in Frankfort for parts, but it was half the distance when we needed something urgent.
