This weekend I had to change out a snapped gear shift lever, that gave the opportunity to inspect the gear set. This tractor will not stay in 3rd for even a moment and it was obvious when you looked inside.
What does it take to replace the gears. Is this a job that I can do on the farm or does someone else have to take it on. I don't have a problem splitting the tractor but the tranny is another beast. Any words of wisdom from those of you that have done this. Thanks in advance for all your help. GHAcres
