well I hit the wrong button I guess, well to sum it all up quickly, I wasn't impressed. in the 3500# I ran strong, track was dry due to our drought. Creeks even dried up to much to get water to put on the track. They got some and put it down right before the pull. To say the least, the track was loose, and wet. the wide tired tractors carried the mail. We pulled twice in the class to finish 5th and 6th.
In the 4000# class had a good shot going, got the front up around 120 foot, and looked to be unstopable, then it happened... spit spudder until the Rps come down the it would try to go again only to spit and spudder. I still feel it running out of fuel. I ran 3/8 line to the tank to carb. I am running the Zeneth that WD ran, not sure of #. I have got to have an improvement, got three weeks, home town pull then. I signed up for the 4500 against DAD, I had been hearing how bad he was going to beat me, I pulled first, again ran out of gas, or just lost power, it starts right back up and will hit the 3200 mark fast. He got 2 nd that class, beat me by 90 something feet. Dad drug the old WD45 out, I cleaned the sediment bowl, put in new points, and modified a hitch to hook. My daughter pulled it in the 4000# F/S, SHE THE ONLY ONE THAT COULD GETY IT IN, so no weights. She beat me by less than 2". got tot love it. That old tractor with no modifications won the 5500# antique, by a large margin, got 3rd in the 6000# OPEN. I am over looking something, i know it's a 45 but only turning 1450 rpm's, putting a flame out 16" and NEVER lost power. Please help me, Dad had alredy took off the straight pipe, and now taking off the drawbar, to put the 3 pt back on to attach the garden tiller ,said her pulling days were over. He had proved his point. LOL, if he had got beat bad as i DID we would be working on it now. LOL!!! Lots of fun good friends, and HOTTTTT temps, 108 in ther shade at 4:30 yesterday. If I am at my max potential without stroking it i an done for the year, crops are toast, family has got to eat, tractor has got to sit. I will try any Cheap tweeks, but cant buy a crank, and head right now. Guy told me last night to drill the load jet out, like three times the origional size, for those rpms, there will not be little or any adjustment but it will run, and also ann electric fuel pump. kinda makes since but want more input.

stock flywheel, no never saw one give trouble. Lots of allis stuff around, most turning 2800 to 3500 free(not under a load) the BADDEST one is a wd 45 stroked with an overbore kit, running 3500 rpm got 18.4 28 tires, when he hooks he wins. he advised me to put on a fuel pump get a wd 45 carburator. bore the load jet and hold on. WHEN WE GET TIME AND MONEY WE WILL BORE AND STROKE the engine, already looked into the carburator, salvage man says what i have is better, what do you all think. It's air horn is smaller, so it cant get as much air. Right now the H farmall's are knocking on my door.

Get a WD45 or better yet D17carb and if you're running the stock WD air cleaner get one for a WD45 too. If Dad will let you, borrow the one off his 45 for a test first and I think you'll see an improvement.

3,000 + rpm .......WOW ! A 60 year old flywheel with probably thousands of hours of use and abuse on it You must feel very confident . Cast iron flywheels are not safe at twice the rated rpm Allis designed it for, for that matter your fan blade was never meant for that speed either.. I get the shivers when I think of the possibilities.
Spectaters attend tractor pulls to see some action, some smoke and noise, but not to put their lives in danger or to see you go away in one ambulance, and feet and boots in another. Do a google search for exploding flywheels,
..... I don't want to be any where near when you hook up and put the juice to it....
