It will fit in a pickup. Make sure it has the bracket to attach to your tractor as many I see often dont have it. Ryan

the base wieght is just over 400 lbs. + 125 lbs. for a 7 ft. bar. your best bet would be that the guy you buy it from has something to help load it for ya. maybe a loader or come-a-long on a big tree branch.

It's doable in a pickup -- but loading and unloading is not easy without equipment or a hoist , come-along and some kind of onverhang to attach to. They are kind of unwieldy because the bar wants to tip it it that side. If you can get a low trailer with a fold down ramp you can slide it out fairly easily. Is it 3point or snap coupler? If SC - like Ryan said, see if seller has the bracket that goes on the tractor -- What kind of tractor? the bracket is different on the D17 and D14.

i have a trailer i was just hoping i wouldnt have to use it, it appears to be a snap coupler so i will make it a point to get all the parts that go with it. i have a d14 but its in pretty rough shape and was hoping this would work on my WD45D

Should work just fine on the WD45D --- the bracket you need is the one that attaches to right axel and has piece that hangs down to attach to the mower- many sellers forget that
it is still attached to the tractor when they sell the mower.

Just to clarify some of the above comments:
If it is a Model 80R mower the tractor hitch does not actually attach to the Snap Coupler that is under the transmission. The tractor drawbar is removed and a special hitch attaches in it's place using the 2 drawbar pins. Then the left and right frame arms of the mower attach to this hitch. The bracket that attaches to the R/H axle housing with 2 bolts is for the mower balance spring. This spring carries most of the weight of the mower when it is lowered in to the cutting position, thus reducing wear on the skid shoe located under the 'Twin Wheel Drive' Gear Box. Hope this helps. If it's a snap coupler, it's not an 80R, it's a #7. I have a #7. It's a lot of weight to hang on the back of a CA.
