here are some pics from the wed ride. For those that did not know, around 10 miles west of Bell. was Amish country, see my pic of horse drawn thresher I found while catching caravan. The youngster is my nephew from Cal., going into A.F. San Antonio in Linguist/kryptology area
I'll be over again sat with grandkids in the roto/roof cart.

Herb, Sorry to here that. was looking forward to chatting with you. Im in Ohio now. Not sure where except up on 71 about 50 +/- miles from columbus, a few side trips turned my ten hour drive into a longer one. Hope to be their in the morn.

Anybody have suggestions at this late date for motel room close to Plain City? will columbus be the closest practical place to look?
Thanks Brian S

I may have missed an earlier discussion about this, but is there tent camping allowed at the show grounds?

Butch, is it true that the city limit signs for each end of Plain City are both on opposite sides of the same post?
Yes, until some smart person annexed 12 more feet now they cant use one sign and cant afford two, LOL

US 42 now by-passes Plan City more or less on the West side. The show is between the now 42 and old 42 on the notrth side of town. Usualy enough steam at the show that you just follow the smoke.

I was past the grounds a month ago and they already had a big sign hung on the fence next to US 42.  Should be easy to find

That reminded me of a boss I worked for in the early 70's. He & a few friends went to the summer national drag races in Englishtown, NJ. They lived not too far from me, in NE PA. When it came time to head for home, they weren't sure of the way. They  saw a car with PA plates on it & decided to follow it. They were well on their way to Pittsburgh when they realized  that they had gone a few hours out of their way!  LOL
