    Posted: 27 Oct 2011 at 10:21am
A couple of weeks ago on the farm machinery forum, I proposed the idea of having an all AC Swap Meet.  There was a lot of interest in this so I am going to plan for it, and wanted to post it in the show section.

If it is Allis Chalmers it is welcome.  I am still considering a site in central Missouri, but if that does not work out, I will have this First Annual at my farm. There will be no charge to buy or sell.  Just show up with your AC tractors, implements and parts and sell away.  I will post some housekeeping rules later and will keep them to a minimum. One thing I have already thought of is stuff being dropped off.  If you want to use the farm as a place to bring stuff part way that you have already sold to someone, that is fine, but everything will need to be picked up the weekend of the meet; I do not want items left on the property to have to deal with later.  Swap Meet dates will be March 3-4, 2012.

If you have any questions, please call me. Michael Crowe 816 898 7277

As of right now, the nearest town to the north is Harrisonville, about 5 miles, to the south, Butler, about 20 miles.  I talked to a friend and he was going to look into us renting some show grounds 20 miles or so north of Kansas City.  I will make a decision here in the next couple of weeks.  If nothing real cheap becomes available, then it will be at my farm just south of Harrisonville.

Guys, yes please do mark this on your calendar.  There has been a lot of interest .  Also, for you coming from out of town that don't get down this way too often, let me sweeten the pot a bit and give you a bit more enticement.  Just south of Butler, about 25 minutes from my farm, is Austin Salvage.  Their salvage yard is predominately AC.  So, plan to come to the swap meet, then head to Austin's and scour over their stuff. I spoke to Mark this past week and they may bring some stuff, but for sure plan to attend their salvage yard. Lots of goodies there.

Happy New Year to all the forum members. Just wanted to remind everyone about the All AC Swap Meet March 3-4, 2012 and to put out a request for all the Missouri forum members to do their best to make it a great First Annual event.  I spoke to a group of laides who serve breakfast/lunch for a local auctioneer, and they said they would be happy to set up and serve us hot breakfast/lunch; prices are very reasonable.  Hope to see many of you at the Swap Meet.

Well, I figure if I spend two Sundays at the farm each month till the March Swap Meet dates, March 3-4, 2012, I should have all my stuff loaded, sorted, etc. and ready for the big meet.  I think I will have a hay wagon loaded pretty good with NOS and used parts, plus implements, a big stuff. Hope to see you all there, rain or shine!
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year and that 2012 is a good one for all.

<FONT style=": #000000">To all the Allis people out there.  Please read all the posts in this thread I will not try to repeat everything I have posted previously.

Plan to attend the First Annual All Allis Chalmers Swap Meet, March 3-4, 2012 at my farm at 32206 S. Yoakum Road, Harrisonville, MO 64701.  If it is orange and Allis Chalmers related, it is welcome.  There is major road construction in the area.  If you don't have GPS, please call me and I will give you directions. Setup to begin Friday, March 2 at noon.  VENDORS MUST CALL AND RESERVE A SPACE. There is no charge but this is the first annual and I need some idea of how many vendors are planning on coming as space is limited. It is being held in the pasture so please no semi trucks. Limited primitive camping, but again, due to location, no campers, 5th wheels, motor homes.  There are hotels in Harrisonville and Butler. The comfort inn in Harrisonville has 25 rooms blocked at a discount; just mention the swap meet. Phone number is 816 884-4124. I will have a loader tractor and will assist with small items; if you plan to bring whole non running tractors or real heavy objects, you will have to make arrangements to load/unload. I plan to have a food vendor and porta potty on site.  This will be held outside so plan accordingly. All items must be removed no later than 5:00 pm. Sunday, no exceptions.  Call Michael Crowe with any questions. 816 898 7277.

I hope this does not jinx the 1st Annual Missouri All AC Swap Meet, but the weather here in Missouri this winter has been very mild; easily averaging 40 or better for a high. We might need sunscreen and sunglasses if this keeps up.  Hope to see you all there.  Michael 816 898 7277

The swap meet will be rain or shine.  Everything is all set in terms of the food vendor, porta potty, etc.  I have a bit of work yet to do, but come Friday March 2 at noon, we will be all ready to go. Hope to see you all there. There have been almost 20 AC vendors who have reserved so far, and I am sure there will be some show up who forget to reserve, so we should have a great turn out.  Please email or call me with questions. My cell phone is 816 898 7277, crowefarm@att.net.  Please note there is construction on US 71 at 307th street which is the cross road you take to get to the outer road; just follow the detour sign and I will have two real esate style signs to help you: one at the outer road after you take the 307th East turn, and one at the 321st turn. Thanks to all you plan to participate.  Michael Crowe

Who/what is all going to be at the swap meet?  Is there going to be a list of equipment and parts?  I have seen a few people post what they are bringing, and it is hard to decide whether or not to pull a trailer along.

We are planning to attend.  If anyone is looking for something specific, let me know.  We sold the big trailer, so the "35 feet of junkyard on a trailer" will not be there.  Only 18' and a lot less weight.  Got tired of the hairy eyeball from DOT.
Owner of OKtractor.com PM for an instant response on parts. Open M-F 9-6 Central.

We have new and used parts. 877-378-6543

I have a list of things 4 pages long that I will have for sale.  I have a nice wide front WD45 tractor, a CAT D4 dozer, perhaps a WD45D tractor, plows, blade, 4 bolt wfe, NOS parts, disc plow, factory power steering units, weights, 45D parts, etc.  From the calls, emails, I have received, I think it is going to be well attended with lots of stuff. If anyone wants a copy of my list, email me and I will send you a pdf copy. michael@croweheckman.com

I thought with all the orange that is going to be there, that no one would notice a glimmer of yellow! Some AC's had a yellow primer so it should blend in!.

Don, I am stunned you would even mention you own a John Deere lawn chair.  I had to get special permission from my uncle before I would even consider buying anything that was not orange.  I can tell you one thing for sure, you can bring it, but don't think for a minute I will sit in it!  See everyone at the swap meet.

I'm not intending to jix it but so far they are calling for decent weather the weekend of the show. 55-60 degrees. Hopefully it hold out because that is awesome weather for a swap meet!!!
I love Allis Chalmers stuff not just because it is Allis Chalmers but also because most if them was made in the.........U.S.A. How many companies can say that today?

Swap Meet update.  If you are planning on getting a hotel room, the rooms will be released on Monday, February 27th and the rates will go back up.  Also, the following known vendors who do this regularly are planning on coming.  Larry Swenson, Matt Scott, Jim Danforth, Luke Roozeboom, Randy Grothoff, Ray O'Neil, Kieran Holthaus.  If I left you off, my apologies.  I will update the list as we get closer, but it is shaping up to be a nice swap meet/show.  I have had some calls about people bringing a tractor to show and that is fine too.
