I took hoe off for painting & noticed threaded flange connection for cyld swing had threads showing more on one side,it looked as if the thresds backed out from use,as they had differ color.
Flanges have been welded,so I cannot take off & screw in shaft,is it possable to turn shaft to screw back into flange fitting with a web wrench ??

I too have an I-40 that has plenty of slop in the swing.
MY plan is to take off Hoe next year and look into it.
I did notice that I do not have the adjusting excentric cam on the top plate to adjust the gears for this like my manual indicates.
Looking forward to how yours comes out- take pictures if you can, I would love to get them from you as you do it via email.
Thanks
Chris
