I am in search of a good used battery tray, battery hold down clamp and J hooks for a D-17 with a gas engine.  I am located in northeast Wisconsin so if it is not located locally it would need to be shipped.

You can still buy the NOCO brand battery holddown and J hooks (for AC 170gas if same) at Farm and Fleet, Tractor supply, etc.  NOCO no longer has the larger size holddown and J hooks, for a larger battery on other tractors.

Hi Mike. Check with Wisconsin tractor parts in Black Creek. They may be able to find you a used one. Or if your good with a welder. You could have a fab shop make you a tray and cut the old one off and weld the new one one. I've also seen them new running around on different websites. Hope this helps.

There are different trays for different series. I know the Series 4 is different than Series 1 or 2. Not sure about Series 3.

The tray for a Series 4 are hard to find.

Reproduction battery trays are or were available.  I believe A&W Tractor or DJ's Tractor parts offers them.  There are two styles that I am aware of, the early style is for the oil bath air cleaner used on the series 1 and 2 and the second is for the dry filter used on the series 3 and 4.

According to what I have seen, Series 1, 2 and 3 took the same tray. Series 4 were different.
