Guys - Have you come across any articles other than those references to him that Norm Swinford has put together in his books?

I was hoping to find some American Society of Agricultural Engineers articles about him. Given the legacy of the Great Allis Tractors he, Shorty Voegelli and Craig Cannon designed and worked on -sure would be good to know more about his rise to Chief Tractor Designer/Engineer.

Thanks for any input - Orangeman

A patent search for Walter Strehlow will turn up a slew of hits.  I agree that it would be priceless to have a conversation with him about his involvement with Allis Chalmers.  I was lucky enough to buy a B/C parts manual with his name on it a few years ago.  It came from Wisconsin, so I believe that there is a chance that it might have belonged to Mr. Strehlow.  It's kind of neat to have a connection like that to the man who designed some of my favorite tractors.

Orange - it might be worth a try to search the area around wauwatosa.  But his son could well be in his 80-90's.
